Due to expansion in the commercial team, my client is looking for an experiencedMaterials Buyerwith a background of working for a new build developer. This is a pivotal role where you will be joining a fantastic developer based in Staffordshire with a real family feel.

The Role
You’ll work closely with the construction and commercial teams, liaising with suppliers, managing procurement schedules, and keeping everything running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure building materials in line with project specifications and budgets
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Negotiate competitive prices and manage supplier performance
- Track and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely site deliveries
- Keep accurate records of orders, budgets, and supplier agreements
- Support site teams with material-related queries and ensure smooth supply chain communication
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Buyer for a UK construction or housebuilder is essential
- Solid knowledge of building materials and suppliers
