Position Summary:

The Junior Waiter is a vital part of the guest’s dining experience, while efficiently communicating with all Front of House Management and staff. The Junior Waiter’s primary focus is to provide each guest with the most enjoyable dining experience possible. From the moment the guest is seated, through the moment they check out, the Waiter will be there to provide our best-in-class service. The Waiter will not only communicate with our guests, but they will also be in constant contact with both our Front of House and Back of House staff. From accurate and efficient order intake, and appropriately timed in-meal check-ins, through a seamless check-out process, the Server will be a focal point for the guest’s restaurant/café experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and seating guest(s).
  • Accurately taking food & beverage orders and communicating them to the kitchen staff.
  • Communicating any food allergies or special nutritional/dietary needs to the kitchen staff.
  • Making menu recommendations.
  • Ensuring food and beverage orders are filled in a timely manner and all products meet brand standards.
  • Provide attentive service to guests such as but not limited to, refilling beverages, providing replacement dining ware and checking in with the guest throughout their dining experience.
  • Promptly addressing any guest service issues and communicating them to management when needed.
  • Complete cleaning tasks in both the Front of House and Back of House as required by the business.

Special Projects/Tasks:

  • Remaining flexible in supporting a new and growing F&B business, which can include but not limited to:
  • On rare occasions travel to support other F&B locations or HQ, as required by business needs.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of any in-store and off-site F&B events.

REQUIREMENTS

Availability:

  • Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
  • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require.

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety certification or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 1+ years of serving experience in an elevated dining environment.
  • 1+ years in a guest facing F&B environment.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to lift and move 25lbs.
  • Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
