Overview
Front of House Manager at KITH – Full Time, Regent Street (London). Starting at £40,000/annually (Competitive). Directly oversee Front-of-House staff, work knowledge of Kitchen and Back-of-House operations, partner with F&B GM, Chef de Cuisine and HQ partners to ensure guest experience is enjoyable and the restaurant is compliant with all Food Safety Laws & Requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspire an excellent guest experience both directly and indirectly through the staff.
- Set expectations of service, by personally completing any tasks required of the Front-of-House.
- Under the direction of the Food & Beverage General Manager, manage the daily operations of the restaurant’s Front-of-House.
- Efficiently delegate tasks and responsibilities to both Front-of-House and Back-of-House staff in the absences of the F&B GM or Chef de Cuisine.
- Oversee the management of any systems utilized within the F&B operations, including reservation booking platforms, delivery services and customer feedback platforms.
- Audit and manage all storage to ensure compliance with all Food Safety Laws & Requirements, and for replenishment purposes.
- Continuously audit overall cleanliness and hygienic standards of the restaurant, food prep and storage areas as required by all Food Safety Laws & Requirements.
- Accurately forecast business trends to ensure proper staffing and scheduling is in place.
- Recruit and hire staff as needed, in partnership with HR and other appropriate HQ business partners.
- Process payroll as required by the company.
- Continuously communicate with HQ business partners, including Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, Accounting/Payroll, Store Design and Ownership.
- Monitor and help complete additional tasks related to the overall operations of the restaurant and standard Food & Beverage responsibilities.
- Assist the restaurant’s management team with housekeeping responsibilities including dusting, sweeping, trash collection and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food & beverage operations.
Requirements
- Open & flexible availability, including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
- Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business needs require.
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3) or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of Management experience within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality industry.
- 2-3 years in a customer-facing managerial role.
- 1+ years using industrial kitchen equipment.
- 1+ years supervising a tips/commission eligible staff.
- Comprehensive computer skills and experience with Google Suites.
- Ability to perform business math and accounting.
- Ability to lift and move 25lbs.
- Ability to perform standard tasks related to retail operations, including bending, twisting and climbing ladders/step stools.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Efficient and effective communicator, strong multitasker, organized and comfortable with following up and holding themselves and others accountable.
