A commodities-focused financial-services firm is hiring a senior manager to build its enterprise data-management capability from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to create and lead the operating model for data ownership, stewardship, standards, quality, lineage and access controls across a complex trading business.
You’ll work across front-office trade, market and risk data, as well as client, regulatory, finance, HR and wider enterprise domains. You’ll establish a federated network of data stewards, embed clear accountability, and play a key role in a major data-platform transformation to Databricks and a modern data-lake environment.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Financial-markets experience and strong exposure to trading, market and risk data
- A track record of building or materially transforming a data office, data-management function or governance capability
- Practical expertise in data stewardship, metadata, lineage, data quality, catalogues and access governance
- Knowledge of DAMA / DAMA-DMBOK and regulated data environments
- The seniority and influence to bring together business, risk, technology and change stakeholders
