A rare chance to become the first platform engineering hire at a new, independent commodities price-reporting business. You’ll build the Azure cloud platform from scratch and create the trusted data foundation behind globally assessed commodities prices. This is not generic data engineering: the core challenge is building immutable, fully evidenced data pipelines so every published price can be reproduced, traced and defended.

  • Azure infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code
  • Immutable raw-data capture, replay and reconstruction
  • Kafka-compatible streaming, lakehouse foundations and Spark transformations
  • Data lineage, quality controls, observability, retention and access controls
  • The APIs and event schemas used by the pricing-engine team

We’re looking for a strong Azure engineer with DevOps / infrastructure-as-code depth, hands-on real-time market-data and FIX experience, and a background in regulated financial-markets environments. Most importantly, you will have built immutable, auditable data pipelines where the same inputs must always produce the same outcome. If you enjoy building rigorous technology from a blank sheet — with the pace and ownership of a genuine start-up — please get in touch.
