A fast-scaling, institutional digital assets business is looking for a Compliance Manager to lead its UK compliance function and serve as London MLRO. You'll report to the Chief Risk Officer and own the full UK remit β regulatory advisory, financial crime, conduct, surveillance and monitoring β at a pivotal moment, with FCA authorisation under the new UK cryptoasset regime as the headline priority. This is a build role, not a caretaker role. You'll shape the function, steer the firm through the FCA gateway, and have genuine board-level visibility.
What we're looking for:
- A senior compliance or financial crime leader from an institutional digital assets environment β someone who's led regulated compliance operations for institutional clients. (Consumer/retail crypto experience isn't what this role needs.)
- Alternatively, a strong financial markets background β derivatives, ideally FX derivatives β with deep FCA/FSMA fluency and the appetite to apply it to digital assets.
- MLRO or Deputy MLRO experience is a real plus, though not essential β you'll hold the mandate either way.
The part that makes this different:
We want someone who is genuinely AI-friendly. A core part of this role is exploring how AI and automation can augment the human side of compliance β building an operation that's slicker, more efficient and more robust. If you see technology as a force multiplier for compliance rather than a threat to it, you'll thrive here.
