We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. As an important part of the kitchen, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly by maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Washing and cleaning kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils
- Keeping kitchen areas, floors and surfaces clean and tidy
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in storage areas
- Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times
- Helping with deliveries and putting stock away
- Supporting the wider kitchen team wherever needed
Requirements
- A positive, hardworking and reliable attitude
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and an organised approach
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
