Job Overview:
The Queens Hotel is seeking a skilled and motivated Section Chef / Chef de Partie to join our professional kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who takes pride in working with fresh, high-quality ingredients and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Prepare and cook dishes using only fresh produce, maintaining the highest culinary standards
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu execution and daily kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards at all times
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and minimising waste
- Train and support junior members of the team where required
- Work collaboratively within a brigade of chefs and kitchen porters
Requirements:
- Passion for fresh ingredients and quality cooking
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
