The Kitchen Porter plays an essential role in supporting the kitchen team and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation throughout the kitchen.,
- Washing and maintaining kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
- Keeping all kitchen, preparation and storage areas clean and organised.
- Following daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Ensuring waste is correctly separated and disposed of.
- Keeping floors, walls, equipment and work areas clean and safe.
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Receiving and storing deliveries correctly when required.
- Following all Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Working efficiently as part of the kitchen and wider restaurant team.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or busy kitchen environment is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Organised and attentive to cleanliness.
- A good team player.
- Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and busy periods.
