Coffee and breakfast first thing, lunch to go or eat-in, brunch at the weekend, and a bar in the evenings with simple, tasty dishes. Drawing together inspiration from the iconic cafés of Paris, the hip new wave delis of California, and the stylish bistros of Montreal, Café François meets the need of locals and tourists alike, offering a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the market, morning, noon and night, seven days a week. Café François works with amazing suppliers and focuses menus on seasonality and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
- Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
- Maintaining the food storage areas: freezers and refrigerators
- Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
- Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
- Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
- Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment: cookers, pots and food mixers
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Keen attention to detail in maintaining the highest levels of service
