The Kitchen Porter will support the kitchen team with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment. Main duties include:
- Washing and cleaning dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping kitchen areas clean and tidy
- Assisting chefs and kitchen staff when required
- Cleaning floors, surfaces and other kitchen areas
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Supporting the kitchen team with general duties, This is a term-time contract of 32 weeks per year. You will work only during university term time, when students are present, with no requirement to work during university holiday periods.
Reliable and punctual - Hardworking and willing to learn
- Able to work as part of a team
- Good standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential
