Chef: The Professionals UK Finalist. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Kitchen Porter to become a key part of our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all kitchen porter duties and maintain an organized pot wash area.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Receive and correctly store deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, storage rooms and waste areas.
  • Manage recycling and refuse according to health and safety standards.
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
  • Monitor cleaning schedules and ensure HACCP procedures are followed.
  • Help maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues.
  • Support the kitchen team before, during and after service.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter (Head KP or senior experience preferred).
  • Excellent organisation and time management.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
  • Good spoken English.
