About the role

The Junior Sous Chef plays a key role in supporting the senior kitchen team in delivering high-quality food and maintaining operational standards. This is a hands‑on position focused on day-to-day kitchen operations, team supervision, and personal development towards a senior leadership role.

  • Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or same role ready to progress into a Junior Sous Chef role in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and stock control procedures.
  • Ability to lead and motivate junior kitchen staff during busy service periods.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Passion for high‑quality food preparation and consistency in presentation.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
