We are looking to recruit recovery drivers and roadside technicians to join our team. Ideally, you will have some mechanical experience and have been driving for at least 5 years. Experience is preferred but not essential as long as you have good driving skills and are willing to learn. Training will be given in-house and through an industry-approved body leading to a recovery industry recognised qualification.
The Role:
- We rescue customers whose vehicle has broken down at the side of the road, either fixing or recovering to their desired destination, which could be anywhere in the UK mainland.
- You will be a welcome face to those stuck by the side of the road, recovering vehicles that have broken down or been involved in a Road Traffic Collision.
- If you enjoy working with cars, then this may be for you.
- 7.5t, Class 2 and Class 1 Drivers are welcome to apply.
Key Skills:
- Experience within the recovery industry desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to assist customers who need assistance.
- Excellent local geographical knowledge.
- Ability to talk face-to-face with customers, sometimes in stressful circumstances, while keeping calm.
- The ability and motivation to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
- Pride and care in customers' vehicles and your company vehicle.
Please note: Due to the type of industry we are in, this is NOT a Monday to Friday 9-5 role; it will include evenings and/or weekends as part of a rota. Please DO NOT apply if you cannot commit to this.
Shift Options:
- 12 Hour Shift - 4 on 2 Off, various start times depending on shift.
- Mon-Fri 8 Hour with alternate weekend on call out.
Due to the nature of our work, you will be required to undergo a DBS check.
