Kiss the Hippo is an award-winning speciality coffee brand and the first carbon-negative coffee company in London, UK. We opened our doors six years ago in Richmond, London, and since then, we’ve been dedicated to making a difference through coffee. Our mission is to bring high-quality, ethically sourced, and sustainably roasted coffee to the UK and beyond, all from our roastery in Enfield, London. In addition to our wholesale programme, we operate nine cafés in premium locations across central London. Café culture is integral to our identity, and our wholesale programme reflects our deep passion for hospitality. We aspire to collaborate with quality-driven, like-minded cafés, restaurants, hotels, and retailers across the UK and worldwide.
You will be part of our dynamic wholesale team, working alongside other wholesale managers, our Head of Coffee, and our Managing Director. We foster an entrepreneurial spirit within our team, offering you the freedom to pursue and develop opportunities as you identify and create them. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow within the coffee industry, well-connected to the coffee scene in the UK, and looking to join a rapidly expanding company where they can advance their career.
Key Responsibilities:- Reach out to customer leads
- Present, promote and sell coffee and equipment to existing and prospective customers
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Represent KTH in a professional manner
Location: 1 day in the roastery, 4 days remote
