Located in the peaceful rural village of Langford , within the Newark and Sherwood district of Nottinghamshire. About The Role As a Life Practitioner , you will play a vital role in supporting young people with complex needs. This is a deeply rewarding opportunity for those who are passionate, resilient, and motivated to make a genuine difference. The impact of your daily interactions can be life-changing for the young people we support, helping them move toward a brighter, more independent future. Key Responsibilities Actively safeguard and promote the wellbeing of the young people in our care, working collaboratively with the wider staff team. Engage in a variety of enriching and inclusive recreational activities, both within the home and in the wider community. Support day-to-day living, including practical tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and household duties. Build meaningful, respectful, and trusting relationships with the young people—offering them consistent support and dignity at all times. Respond to and meet the individual physical, emotional, behavioural, and cultural needs of each young person. Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date records in accordance with care plans and organisational procedures. Monitor, review, and adapt support in line with the evolving needs of the young people. Positively contribute to team development and a supportive working culture. About You What experience and qualifications do you need: A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others. A strong team player Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed Excellent written and oral communication skills Computer literacy A Diploma Level 3 in Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this qualification within a fixed timeframe.
