Kisharon Langdon UK has an exciting opportunity to join their growing Fundraising team in North West London. Kisharon Langdon is a charity offering a wide range of services to support people with learning disabilities and autistic people, and their families. From our nursery and school to further education, through to employment opportunities and supported living, Kisharon Langdon empowers people with learning disabilities and autistic people to thrive and realise their ambitions and aspirations. The Role
The Head of Income Generation & Engagement leads a range of fundraising and supporter engagement activities designed to inspire more people to connect with the organisation and make a meaningful difference to the lives of the people we support and their families. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising, the postholder will oversee the development and delivery of multiple income streams, including an expanding events and challenges programme, Direct Mail appeals, community fundraising, and mid‑value giving, along with database management. The successful candidate will use their expertise to create and implement initiatives that drive income growth and broaden opportunities for supporters to engage with and champion our work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and implementation of the fundraising strategy.
- Support budget planning and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with Fundraising Regulator standards.
- Personally manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospect mid-level donors to canvass, develop long‑term relationships and maximise income.
- Work collaboratively with marketing to create supportive marketing and communication campaigns.
- Provide values-based leadership for employees and teams to perform at their best in building and sustaining a high-performance culture.
- Act as a role model and ambassador for Kisharon Langdon values and leadership behaviours.
- Support the Director of Fundraising with budget planning, monitoring and forecasting, working collaboratively with the finance team to provide accurate and timely information.
- Assist in ensuring cost‑effective and efficient delivery across fundraising activity by monitoring spend within areas of responsibility and highlighting risks or opportunities for savings.
About You
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional fundraising qualification.
- A successful track record of leadership at a senior strategic level within an organisation of comparable scope, size and complexity.
- Experience of financial and budget management.
- Significant experience in income generation through relevant relationship-based sales, marketing and/or fundraising activity.
- Demonstrable success of delivering to and beyond targets.
- Significant experience of organising and delivering large scale events.
- Good understanding and experience of how digital technologies can underpin effective data-driven supporter engagement.
