Job title: Sessional Worker (bank). Location: Edgeware / Hendon. Salary: Β£12.71 per hour. Hours: Zero hours contract.
What you will do
As a Sessional Worker you will be part of a diverse team that enables our members to participate in a range of recreational activities, ensuring that their needs are met while also providing a friendly, safe and sociable environment.
Sessional Workers are valuable, responsible and trustworthy adults who members feel safe with, helping to grow Members\β self-confidence and friendships while they are with us. The participants of Kisharon Langdon Brady are aged 5-15 and are provided with a well-resourced and vibrant environment supported by caring staff. Our sessional clubs take place as after school, weekend clubs and holiday schemes, with day, evening and weekend sessions.
Responsibilities
- Help to deliver engaging group activities to young people with additional needs
- Provide support to Members to develop their confidence and work towards practicing their own version of independence
- Work 1:1 with Members who need extra support
- Undertake organisational tasks that helps Kisharon Langdon Brady to run smoothly
About you
Educated to GCSE level with a grade A-C in Maths & English, you are passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to become independent. Ideally you have some experience working with young people who face barriers to inclusion, but this is not essential. You will have an outgoing, positive and empathetic personality and have a clear and straightforward communication style. If this sounds like you, we are keen to hear from you.

Kisharon Langdon Brady provides Jewish young people aged 9-25 with learning, behavioural and physical difficulties the opportunity to make friends and take part in fun activities. It supports the development of members\β confidence and effective communication. People who face barriers to inclusion often find it difficult to make friends; Kisharon Langdon Brady is a friendly and inviting place for members to overcome this and develop meaningful relationships with others.
