Community Support Worker – Day Opportunities (FEMALE ONLY)

Salary: £12.21 – £13.02 per hour
Location: Golders Green and Hendon
Contract: Full-time and part-time available

Shift Patterns

• Full-time (35 hours per week): Monday 08:30 – 17:00 / Tuesday – Thursday 08:30 – 16:30 & Friday 08:30 – 13:00 or 16:00
• Part-time (18.30 hours per week): Monday 4.3 hrs, Tuesday & Wednesday 5 hrs, Friday 4 hrs

*Qualified candidates need to demonstrate they have completed an Ofqual QCF (NVQ) Level 2 qualification or higher in Health & Social Care (for the higher rate of pay £13.22 per hour).

Unqualified candidates are encouraged to apply. (£12.39 per hour)

The Role

As a Community Support Worker, you will work individually and as part of a team to support and enable people to participate in a range of activities, ensuring their needs are met and facilitating a friendly, safe and sociable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• To organise activities that the person wants to engage in, such as Jewish activities, exercise, walking and play therapy including water play
• To support with personal care needs
• To build opportunities and relationships in the local community
• To show people dignity and respect at all times
• To strive to always provide excellent care and individualised support

About You

With NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care level 2, Care Certificate or equivalent experience, you must have a good standard of written English. Experience of working with adults with a learning disability is desirable but not essential. Understanding / awareness of or willingness to learn about Jewish culture is essential. Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
