The Sales & Marketing Revenue Analyst will work with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, develop models, and drive data-driven decisions. Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, the role ensures revenue goals are met, evaluates performance, and assists with budgeting. Strong data analysis and communication skills are required, along with tracking industry trends and competitor CRM performance. This position is a hybrid role based out of our Home Office in Carlsbad, California. Position requires 3 days a week in office.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify key business objectives, define data requirements, and develop analytical solutions to drive revenue growth and improve decision-making for Sales & Marketing.
  • Collaborate with VP Sales & Marketing and senior leadership to define monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting on New Rent Revenue reports.
  • Use of Power BI to identify data sources and requirements to support analytics initiatives.
  • Analyze sales reports and other data to further improve sales ratios and revenue production.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in analytics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the IS team and outside technology companies to enhance CRM database and troubleshoot problems; supports new technological integrations.
  • Support the Data Analytics Revenue Manager with Revenue Management projects that require use of CRM: including Pricing App, Adaptive, Acquisitions & New Development Setup and use of NIC MAP data.
  • Measure return on marketing’s investment, conversion rates, cost per metrics and spot areas of success, opportunity, and improvements in order to present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders on effectiveness of ROI to better the business.
  • Benchmark the organization’s current sales & marketing activities, performance and investment against industry best practices and partner with sales & marketing to make the appropriate changes for program optimization.
  • Analyze customer data to answer business questions and produce data-driven stories that reveal key insights into consumer behavior.
  • Own and evolve ongoing internal sales & marketing analytics capabilities and drive for the design, development, execution and automation of reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
  • Work towards empowering internal & community sales & marketing teams with tools, skills and capabilities to generate insights.
  • Oversee maintenance of CRM database health to ensure key sales and marketing reporting data is valid from the various systems through monitoring and quality checks.
  • Support the VP Sales & Marketing with CRM development through BI & App Committee leadership to ensure completion of new initiatives with CRM.
  • Focused leadership on Competitive Analysis, HP3 data, and CRM training for new and current users.
  • Is accountable for knowing and understanding company’s Principles, Values, and Beliefs (PVBs) and uses them to guide all actions and decisions, including interactions with others.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Education/Experience/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing analytics strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software.

  • Advanced knowledge of CRM and data models; knows how to mine for insights and actions.
  • High comfort with analytics, dashboards, setting and monitoring metrics.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of computers including CRM, Microsoft Office Suite applications, Power BI, training, sales and management databases, computerized lead tracking, Internet, and E-mail.
  • Creates and communicates clear objectives, accountabilities, and priorities.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to results.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational skills, business intuition, and consumer instincts.
