Kirwee Model School seeks an inspirational, student-centred teacher to join our collaborative team in 2026. We seek an educator who leads with manaakitanga, balancing high expectations with authentic connections to ensure every child feels a genuine sense of belonging.

New entrant teacher (Mon–Thurs, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm)

Mathematics acceleration (Mon–Thurs, 1:40 pm – 2:20 pm)

Key requirements:

  • Curriculum expertise: Proven ability to deliver structured literacy and the CPA model for mathematics using explicit instruction.
  • Experience teaching in NE: Deep understanding of the developmental needs of 5-year-olds and experience in learning-through-play.
  • Data-driven: Skilled in using diagnostic data to notice, recognise, and respond, creating personalised learning plans and reporting accurately on progress.
  • Cultural and social focus: Committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the Te Whare Mauri Ora hauora framework, and SW PB4L and restorative practice.
  • Collaborative spirit: A team player dedicated to professional trust, direct dialogue, and positive whānau engagement.
