Kirtana consulting is looking for a Dynatrace/Observability Engineer for a 6-month rolling contract in Basildon. This role is a combination of Dynatrace/Observability Engineer and Lead COE member. The candidate should be able to perform hands-on Dynatrace activities if application teams are new to Dynatrace.

The talent should have 6+ years' work experience.
- Design and implement E2E observability for business-critical payment and banking workflows
- Configure request attributes to enrich traces with business context (transaction IDs, payment types)
- Trace distributed transactions across microservices, MQ, mainframes, and APIs using PurePath
- Use DQL basics for querying metrics, building dashboards, and operational reporting
- Define and manage Management Zones for multi-team, multi-environment segmentation
- Design alerting strategies that reduce noise - leveraging baselines, anomaly detection, and SLO-aligned severity tiers
- Build audience-specific dashboards for executives, operations, and engineering teams
- Leverage Smartscape and Davis AI for topology-aware root-cause analysis
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for business services and integrate them into release and incident decisions
