Kirtana consulting is looking for a Dynatrace/Observability Engineer for a 6-month rolling contract in Basildon.
This role is a combination of Dynatrace/Observability Engineer and Lead COE member. The candidate should be able to perform hands-on Dynatrace activities if application teams are new to Dynatrace.

The candidate should have 6+ years' work experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and implement end-to-end observability for business-critical payment and banking workflows.
- Configure request attributes to enrich traces with business context (transaction IDs, payment types).
- Trace distributed transactions across microservices, MQ, mainframes, and APIs using PurePath.
- Use DQL basics for querying metrics, building dashboards, and operational reporting.
- Define and manage Management Zones for multi-team, multi-environment segmentation.
- Design alerting strategies that reduce noise - leveraging baselines, anomaly detection, and SLO-aligned severity tiers.
- Build audience-specific dashboards for executives, operations, and engineering teams.
- Leverage Smartscape and Davis AI for topology-aware root-cause analysis.
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for business services and integrate them into release and incident decisions.
Preferred Dynatrace Associate Certified.
