As ADHD Clinical Lead, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership across our ADHD and wider neurodevelopmental services. You will play a central role in ensuring clinical excellence while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and supportive culture.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring services are delivered in line with best practice, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape the future direction of our services while remaining clinically involved in complex case management.

This will include building a strong, collaborative team across the organisation to ensure cohesive, effective service delivery.

Quality, Safety & Governance

  • Champion the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence‑based care at all times
  • Provide input into and oversight of clinical governance frameworks across ADHD assessment and treatment pathways
  • Maintain and continuously improve clinical standards, report quality, and documentation consistency
  • Develop, review, and implement clinical templates, assessment processes, and SOPs for both assessment and prescribing ADHD pathways
  • Provide senior clinical oversight for diagnostic reasoning, risk management, and safeguarding pathways
  • Support and contribute to audit activity, including devising and reviewing documentation audits, outcomes review, patient feedback, and clinical risk monitoring

Regulatory Compliance & Inspection Readiness

  • Support readiness for CQC registration and inspections
  • Ensure clinical governance processes align with CQC standards and evidence‑based requirements
  • Contribute to the maintenance of governance logs (incidents, complaints, safeguarding) and ensure learning and actions are embedded
  • Act as a senior clinical point of contact for compliance‑related clinical queries, working closely with operational colleagues

Complex Case Management

Provide expert clinical input into complex cases, supporting safe decision‑making and adherence to national guidance and professional standards.

Performance Management

Monitor and support clinical performance, developing standards for clinical supervision, addressing challenges constructively while fostering a positive, accountable, and high‑performing clinical culture.

Clinical Service Delivery

During the growth phase of the service the role will include:

  • Conducting ADHD assessments in line with NICE guidelines
  • Delivering protocols for initial medication appointments and follow‑up reviews (for Non‑Medical Prescribers)
  • Providing clinical input into pathway development and multidisciplinary working

What we\’re looking for

  • A Registered Mental Health Nurse or Pharmacist (GPhC) with a V300 qualification
  • Or a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician
  • Extensive clinical experience in Neurodevelopmental Assessments (ADHD and Autism) across the lifespan
  • Proven senior leadership experience, including supervision pathway oversight and support of clinical teams
  • Excellent clinical judgement, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Collaborative and approachable leadership style
  • Experience contributing to service development, ideally across right‑to‑choose pathways
