We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapies team, assessing a young person in York. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver specialist speech and language therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex communication needs to develop functional communication skills, increase independence and thrive within their educational environment.
The Role
- Deliver 3-hour initial assessment with report (non EHCNA)
- Promote an inclusive approach
- Maintain accurate clinical records, liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team and produce report as required
About You
- ADHD
- Developmental Coordination Disorder
- Language Disorder affecting receptive and expressive language skills
- Challenges with inference and verbal reasoning
- Difficulties producing multisyllable words accurately
- Social communication challenges
- Movement seeking and lack of maintaining attention
- Needs verbal prompts to complete daily activities
