Building Surveyor to join our expanding team.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a graduate building surveyor with consultancy experience who is looking to develop their professional career and work towards achieving MRICS status and progression towards a senior role within the business.

The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking varied experience across both professional and project-based building surveying work within a consultancy environment.

The successful candidate will support senior surveyors in delivering a broad range of professional and project surveying instructions across a diverse client portfolio.

Typical responsibilities will include

  • Assisting with building surveys and defect investigations.
  • Preparing schedules of condition, dilapidations reports and specifications.
  • Assisting with preparing tender documentation and contract administration duties.
  • Assisting with refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects, including project co-ordination.
  • Attending site inspections and project meetings.
  • Supporting party wall and neighbourly matters where required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should possess

Essential Requirements

  • An accredited
  • Degree in Building Surveying

(BSc or equivalent).

  • Previous practical experience working within a building surveying consultancy or multi-disciplinary consultancy environment .
  • Sound understanding of building pathology and construction technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Desirable Requirements

  • Working towards APC and MRICS accreditation.
  • Experience undertaking building surveys, preparing specifications and schedules.
  • Familiarity with Auto CAD and measured survey techniques.
