Following a period of growth, Kirrie Thistle CFC are seeking an organised, proactive and enthusiastic person to support our social objectives by helping develop our football, education and community programmes, with a particular focus on delivering a Football for Schools programme.

The Education Projects Co-ordinator will help plan, deliver and evaluate football and sport-based education programmes.

The role will engage young people in structured learning activities that support personal development, attainment and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Support & Delivery
  • Co-ordinate and deliver education programmes in schools and community settings.
  • Liaise with teachers, youth workers, and partners to ensure programme success.
  • Facilitate workshops using football as a tool to engage learners.
  • Ensure sessions are inclusive, engaging, and tailored to participant needs.
  • Support curriculum-linked activities (e. g., PSHE, literacy, employability skills).
  • Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Report any concerns in line with organisational procedures Monitoring & Evaluation.

  • Collect and analyse feedback from participants and partners.
  • Measure programme outcomes and contribute to impact reports.

  • Assist in planning and scheduling education projects and activities.
  • Monitor programme delivery against targets and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and impact.
  • Support reporting to funders and stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of education provision.
  • Represent the charity at meetings and events where required.
  • Coordinate and deliver additional football based activities out with term time.
  • Expand the role to encompass further local programmes as part of Kirrie Thistle Community Football Club.

Person Specification

  • Administration Strong organisational and administrative abilities, IT literacy
  • Experience using Microsoft software.
  • Understanding of governing body administrative procedures, such as use of SFA’s comet system.
  • Experience working with digital project tools and data reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience engaging with a range of stakeholders.
  • Managing workload Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good time management with ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership experience in a sports environment.
  • Educated to a Children’s Coaching Certificate is essential.

However, candidates who are working towards this qualification will be considered with a clear willingness to proceed on the Scottish FA coach education pathway.

  • Experience working with young people in an education or community setting.
  • Experience or volunteering in football development, sport participation or community sports programmes.
  • Relevant qualification in education, youth work, sports development or similar
  • Knowledge of the education system and curriculum working pattern.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where necessary.
  • Passion for football and physical activity, and its role in education and social change.

Other

  • Full, clean driving licence with access to own vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel to partner venues, clubs or events.
  • First Aid qualification is essential, however, candidates who are willing to gain this qualification will be considered.
