This vacancy is within Kirktonholme Thornliebank, 1a Crosslees Drive, Thornliebank.
Must hold relevant childcare qualifications such as SVQ or HNC, and be working towards level 4 or equivalent or willing to start doing so.
We are looking to recruit an energetic, motivated and forward-thinking Team Leader to join our early learning team at our Kirktonholme Thornliebank setting. You will be required to work as an enthusiastic, effective member of an early years team supporting, leading and motivating staff to nurture children and create stimulating learning opportunities that deliver a high quality child centered early years provision which meets the needs of our youngest children and their families. You will be an innovative educator who will work in partnership with others to lead and develop the service.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in leading a team within a nursery environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience in delivering Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to Three.
- Working knowledge of Realising the Ambition and GIRFEC.
- SVQ level 3 childcare and education, or SVQ Level 3 Children's Care in Education and Learning, HNC Childcare in Education and Learning or NNEB, and preferably have or working towards SVQ Level 4, PDA Plus Childhood Practice or BA Childhood Practice.
- Minimum of 3 years nursery experience and one year experience as a team leader.
- Meet the registration requirements or be a practitioner with SSSC and be a member of the PVG scheme.
