Overview
Warwickshire Legal Services (WLS) are looking for two qualified lawyers to join their award-winning, motivated, and nationally recognised legal team.
WLS is a LEXCEL accredited legal practice operating commercially on behalf of Warwickshire County Council.
We are inviting applications for two permanent roles in our commercial and contracts legal team.
You will work as part of a talented team delivering high-quality, business-focused legal advice, representation and support to officers, councillors and external clients on matters including contracts, procurement, construction, major projects and information governance.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and develop specialist expertise.
WLS provides legal services across a broad range of disciplines and serves external public sector clients including other local authorities, not-for-profit organisations, blue light services and more than 200 schools and academies.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, business-focused legal advice and representation on contracts, procurement, construction, major projects and information governance.
- Work as part of a team to support officers, councillors and external clients on a variety of matters.
- Contribute to achieving outcomes that benefit local communities.
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues to deliver timely and practical legal solutions.
Qualifications and requirements
- Two qualified lawyers with current practicing status.
- LEXCEL accreditation or equivalent recognition as a legal practice.
- Experience in public sector or local government law is desirable; applicants from other legal backgrounds are welcome to apply.
- Willingness to work in a flexible/agile environment; full-time 37 hours per week with options for part-time arrangements where possible.
