Are you ready to lead the strategic risk and insurance agenda for a forward‑thinking local authority? Wakefield Council is looking for a dynamic and experienced Strategic Risk Manager to lead our corporate approach to risk management and support our Insurance Manager. This is a high‑profile role, reporting to the Service Director for Finance, where you’ll shape and embed best practice across the organisation.

You will:

  • Provide expert advice to senior leaders, elected members, and external partners.
  • Deliver regular reports to the Audit Committee, Cabinet, and Corporate Management Team.
