About the Role: To work effectively as part of the management team to support adults with learning disabilities to live independently within the community, promoting independence, rights, choices and inclusion. To ensure the service is delivered in compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake day-to-day operational responsibilities for tenants, supporting individuals to live independently in the community.
- Responsible for induction, probation, supervision, identifying and tracking learning and development needs of staff.
- Completing rotas, implementing the council's policies and procedures.
- Shared responsibility for up to 100 staff in manager's absence.
- Accountable for safe management of expenditure and income for tenants including cash, invoices, and cheques in relation to their personal finances.
- Regular financial audits and medication audits.
- Producing and processing manual and electronic data and responsible for ensuring accuracy of information, confidentiality, and data security.
What will be expected from me:
- Flexibility and may necessitate occasional evening and weekend work.
- Good keyboard skills.
- Support manager to ensure safe delivery of service.
- Participate in a telephone on-call service on a rota basis with responsibility across the whole service.
Essential requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ care or Diploma.
- Willing to work towards a leadership management level 3/5 qualification.
- Relevant training to meet needs of a CQC regulated service.
- Significant experience of working in a similar setting with learning disabilities.
