An opportunity has come up in Highways Services for a Storekeeper/Driver. They will assist the Stores Supervisor in delivering a customer focussed Stores function for Neighbourhood Services, countywide.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
- To assist the Stores Supervisor ensuring the stores function is an efficient and effective service.
- Promote a “can do” culture with staff ensuring that they receive appropriate training to empower them and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- To assist in the stock management process to ensure that stock holdings are at appropriate levels ensuring continuity of work to Neighbourhood Services operations.
- Ensure all equipment and shelving are maintained on a regular basis and works are recorded.
- To provide a customer focussed service at the Tradesman counter.
- To ensure Stores and the waste transfer facility are kept in a tidy hazard-free state at all times.
- Ensure deliveries are receipted, off-loaded, checked and stored appropriately.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
- NVQ Level 2 in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in working in a stores environment.
- Ability to take ownership and deliver results.
- Ability to promote a positive culture.
