Role Overview
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with complex needs, working closely with teachers to deliver learning, promote independence, and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learning for individuals, small groups and whole classes under the direction of a teacher
- Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities alongside teaching staff
- Provide specialist support for pupils with complex SEND needs
- Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor progress and contribute to reports and pupil records
- Support behaviour, care needs and inclusion throughout the school day
- Work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals
- Assist with classroom organisation, resources and wider school activities
Requirements
- Experienced, proactive and caring individuals with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs
- Enhanced DBS check required for the post
- Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the position
