About the role
The Head Teacher and Governing Body of Tudhoe Moor Nursery School wish to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated professional to join our Early Years Team. This post is offered for three terms only.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside pupils aged 2 to 4 years old, including children with additional needs.
- Act as the key worker for a designated group of children.
- Provide support within other areas of the classroom as required.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Work well under pressure while demonstrating a can‑do attitude.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hold a qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ Early Years criteria and staffing ratio inclusion.
- Successfully complete an enhanced DBS check before appointment.
- Have experience working in early years with children who have additional needs.
- Demonstrate accurate spoken English suitable for customer‑facing interactions.
Benefits and Salary
Salary: £25,185 – £25,989 (pro rata) based on a full‑time 38‑week term time schedule plus two additional weeks. Term time only pay plus two weeks’ pay is calculated on: 38 teaching weeks, 1.6 public holidays, two additional weeks inclusive of CPD, and individual leave entitlement of 5.4 to 6.4 weeks. Employees with less than five years’ service receive 27 days annual leave; those with more than five years’ service receive 32 days.
Working arrangements
Full time, Monday to Friday. Job share available.
