Role Overview
School Administrator to provide high‑quality administrative and secretarial support, ensuring the smooth running of the school. Core duties include:
- Coordinating Special Educational Needs (SEN) Annual Review processes.
- Supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
- Managing front‑of‑house duties.
- Maintaining safeguarding procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate SEN Annual Review processes: arrange meetings, prepare documentation, maintain accurate records, liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team: diary management, meeting organisation, minute‑taking, and correspondence.
- Act as first point of contact for visitors and enquiries, providing a professional and welcoming service.
- Adhere to safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of children.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 in Business/Administration (or equivalent) and good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Experience of general clerical work.
- Confidence in dealing with enquiries and strong organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to converse in accurate spoken English.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
Benefits
- Basic salary: £25,583–£26,824 per annum.
- Standard term‑time pay calculated based on 38 teaching weeks, 1.6 public holiday weeks (8 days), and annual leave (27 or 32 days depending on service length).
- Annual leave: 27 days for less than 5 years’ service, 32 days for 5 years or more.
- Paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
