Full-time, permanent Property Assistant based at Green Lane Council Offices, Spennymoor. You will assist with the day-to-day operations of designated building(s), ensuring they are clean, safe, compliant and maintained to agreed standards.
Responsibilities
- Support Assistant Support Services Officers in delivering an efficient and effective Facilities Management service, consistently achieving agreed service standards.
- Monitor and ensure the correct operation and maintenance of building systems and services, including boiler plant, mechanical and electrical systems, ventilation, alarms, lifts, building management systems and other equipment.
- Identify, address and report any premises or compliance-related issues to keep council facilities clean, safe and fully compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out planned and routine compliance, maintenance and repair tasks to maintain a safe, secure and compliant working environment.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- First aid at work qualified or willingness to work towards qualification.
- Experience in a general maintenance/premises-based environment.
- Customer-focused with good communication skills and knowledge of safe working practices in a premises-based facilities environment.
Benefits
- Competitive salary of £25,583 to £26,824 per annum (Grade 4, pay award pending).

- 27 days annual leave, rising to 32 days after five years of continuous local government service.
