Join our dedicated Homeless Prevention team and help people when they need it most.

As a Housing Advice Officer, you will provide early advice, manage a caseload, and support customers to access housing options and move towards stable, long‑term accommodation.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

You will manage a caseload of customers at risk of homelessness, providing early advice, housing options, and support. You will help customers understand their options, make referrals, and support those in temporary accommodation to move into suitable long‑term housing.

You will work with customers to help them secure or maintain accommodation, assist with housing applications and benefit claims, and support colleagues in delivering services in line with homelessness legislation. The role also includes day‑to‑day administrative tasks such as handling enquiries, maintaining records, and arranging appointments.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience delivering telephone and face to face advice and assistance services.
  • Experience of providing support to clients to achieve positive outcomes
  • Knowledge of Housing and Homelessness legislation
