About Personalised Learning College PLC is a county-wide, person-centred programme supporting young people aged 16+ with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The Role

As a Teacher, you will:

  • Provide excellent teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
  • Provide reports to evidence learning for EHCP reviews, ensuring the learner’s voice is central.
  • Supervise and coordinate the ATA and GTA support team within your sessions.
  • Champion person‑centred planning and ensure learners are supported to achieve their goals.
  • Safeguard our vulnerable young people.

  • Skilled and experienced in teaching young people with SEND.
  • Experienced in working with young people with EHCPs.

  • Resilient and can work in a high‑pressure and sometimes challenging environment.

Clearances and References

The post holder is required to a satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance. To comply with Keeping Children Safe in Education and North Yorkshire Council’s recruitment policy, roles involving regulated activity require two satisfactory references: One reference must come from the current or most recent employer. If the candidate has previously worked with children, a reference should also be obtained from that employer. All references must be signed by a senior person, typically the Headteacher or Chair of Governors.

Interview Process for Teaching Roles

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a full day hands‑on interview, teach a session and take part in a formal interview.
