It’s hard to overstate the scale of our transport ambitions. With a gamechanging £1.6bn investment from government now confirmed, we can give the green light to one of the most extensive, forward-focused and integrated transport programmes in the UK. We’re building a greener, more accessible, more affordable and better-connected public transport system that will support communities, our economy and the Combined Authority’s wider objectives as a city region. That means a fully franchised bus network, new rail stations, enhancements to existing rail stations, and a new rapid transit network. You’ll also lead the development of a new operating model for the Merseyrail network, as well as overseeing the transport integration afforded by the rollout of a new brand and smart ticketing that connects communities directly to jobs, new homes, cultural attractions, and major regeneration projects.

You’ll lead the commissioning and delivery of our 2040 Local Transport Plan, working as a visible and influential member of the senior team within the CA. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning and delivery of the 2040 Local Transport Plan and serve as a visible, influential member of the senior team within the Combined Authority.
