About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Traffic & Capital Delivery Team as the Team Leader – Road Network Management. In this role, you will lead the team responsible for delivering the Council’s statutory functions relating to the making of permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), as well as overseeing the day‑to‑day management of non‑statutory traffic management matters. The role combines office‑based responsibilities with site visits, as required to support service delivery and operational needs.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

You will join the Traffic & Capital Delivery Team as the Team Leader – Traffic Network Management. The Traffic & Capital Delivery Team is responsible for delivering capital projects and managing the borough’s road network, helping to ensure it is safe, efficient, and fit for the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors. The team works flexibly to meet changing priorities, and the successful candidate will be required to provide support and advice across different areas of the Traffic Team, depending on service and business needs.

About You

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and committed professional who has:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with members of the public, elected Members, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to use a range of digital systems, with a willingness to learn new technologies and develop new skills.
