We are looking for a Refurbishment and Distribution Operative to join our growing equipment refurbishment team! Gloucestershire Equipment Loan Service (GELS) has a new vacancy for a full time Refurbishment and Distribution Operative to join our team in Hempsted, Gloucester. This is a great opportunity to join an established and supportive team, making a difference to people in Gloucestershire.
About the Role
GELS plays an important role in supporting the care sector in Gloucestershire. We are responsible for the refurbishment, distribution, delivery, collection and maintenance of equipment to support people being discharged from hospital and to help people to remain independent in their own home. The service is delivered on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and One Gloucestershire.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Warehouse team to deliver an efficient and effective service
- Moving equipment through the warehouse process
- Allocating workflow and producing workflow documents
- Undertaking stock takes
- Operating machinery such as wash plant, steam cleaner and power tools
- Inputting data to IT systems and manual records
About You
The ideal candidate will have worked in a production or warehouse environment and have experience of these processes and procedures. You will have experience working in a team and be happy working independently. You will have a focus on quality and a positive, can-do attitude. You will have basic IT skills and a willingness to undertake training and personal development. If you are friendly and outgoing with good communication skills this could be the ideal role for you!
