Castle Point Borough Council is seeking to appoint an Estates Administrator on an initial 6-month basis to support the Estates and Assets Manager. Please note this role will be based in the office for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Role purpose
To provide administrative support, working as part of the Estates department, delivering effective and high-quality administration support for the Estates team. Working effectively as part of the Estates team for the Council, delivering a quality service, to agreed targets, in line with policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for estate queries and manage the Estates inbox.
- Process supplier invoices, raise purchase orders, and track department budgets.
- Escort contractors and ensure they follow health and safety guidelines on-site.
- Take a key role in making updates to the Asset Management database, to ensure that records are kept up to date, reporting on statutory compliance, establish a case management system and able to efficiently access key information.
- Coordinate meetings and update records.
- Performing other duties as and when required from time to time by the Estates & Asset Manager and Assistant Director.
Key skills/experience required
- Previous experience in a busy office, ideally in estates or local government.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Up to date IT skills including Word and Excel.
