We are seeking an inspiring and compassionate Team Manager to join our dedicated service supporting Care Leavers aged 16-25 years here at Cheshire East. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of young people as they transition into independence.

As the Team Manager, you will play a key role in leading and supporting a team of Personal Advisors ensuring our Care Leavers receive the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to achieve positive futures. You will provide clear leadership, expert oversight, and a strong safeguarding focus, ensuring the team delivers consistently high-quality, strengths-based practice that empowers young people on their journey to independence.

About you:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration (Social Work England).
  • Proven leadership experience in children’s social care.
  • Knowledge of legislation, guidance, policy, and procedures relating to Care Leavers.
  • Experience of building strong relationships with a range of children, young people and professionals.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative managing and prioritising own workload under pressure.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • A full driving license and access to a car are essential due to Cheshire East’s rural nature.
