A Civil Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship with Kirklees Council is a fantastic opportunity to begin a rewarding career in the construction and highways sector. You’ll gain real experience working on a wide variety of civil engineering schemes while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Civil Engineering Technician Apprentice you’ll work with different teams across the Highways Service working with Design, Safety and Structures teams learning about all aspects of highways maintenance and civil engineering.
We’d like to hear from you if you are:
- Interested in a career in Civil Engineering
- Very technical and interested in a technical career
- Like problem solving
- Wanting to continue to develop educationally while learning on the job
- Good at working as part of a team
You will need:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade A* - C/4 – 6 including Maths (Grade B/5), English and Science or their equivalent
- An interest in civil engineering
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety and how it applies to the role
