Overview

Essex County Council (ECC) are supporting Braintree Council to recruit an ICT Project Manager on a full-time basis.

The role involves coordinating ICT projects within the service, ensuring compliance with corporate processes, and supporting planning, scheduling, documentation and monitoring activities to meet project milestones.

Key focus includes supporting the delivery of the Fit for the Future programme and the Digital Strategy, coordinating stakeholder engagement and liaising with third party ICT providers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects within the ICT service and ensure compliance with corporate processes.
  • Assist the manager with planning, scheduling, documentation and monitoring to ensure milestones are met.
  • Support delivery of the Fit for the Future programme and the Digital Strategy.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and liaise with external ICT providers and third parties.
  • Monitor budgets where applicable and maintain attention to detail in project administration.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience of working on projects in a local government ICT setting with an understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Strong business support skills and experience using a wide range of project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise effectively with external partners and suppliers.
  • Proven IT environment experience and the ability to monitor project-related budgets; strong attention to detail.
