Fixed Term Contract until 21/07/27. Part Time 6.25 hours a week Monday to Friday 7.45-9.00am Term Time Only. Required to start as soon as possible. Frosterley Primary School is a small, two-class village school located in Frosterley, County Durham. It is part of a federation of six small rural schools that make up the Durham Dales Partnership. The governors and Executive Headteacher are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small rural school environment, where staff are dedicated to nurturing every child’s potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all children attending the club
- Setting up and preparing a basic, balanced breakfast (e.g., cereals, toast, fruit, and drinks)
- Supervise and support children’s play, social interactions, and well-being
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and external agencies as needed
- Maintain health and safety standards and safeguarding procedures at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Have experience working with children in a play, childcare, or school setting
- Be a friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who enjoys working with children
- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to lead a small team
- A commitment to providing a safe and engaging environment
- Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post

Salary: £24,796 (Pro rata). Location: Bishop Auckland, Durham.
