The starting salary for an NQSW is £36,124 per annum, rising to £38,487 per annum upon successful completion of the ASYE programme.
About the Role
The Social Workers will work alongside people and their families and carers to help them think through solutions that assist them in living as fully as possible, within the statutory Care Act framework.
The role involves assessments, reviews, support planning, safeguarding and mental capacity assessments for adults aged 18 and over across all specialisms.
The position is based at Ely House in Basildon, with an expectation of 2–3 days in office per week depending on business need.
Travel around Essex is required, so a driving licence, own car or alternative transport arrangements are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, reviews, safeguarding and mental capacity assessments for adults aged 18 and over.
- Collaborate with partners in health, housing, voluntary sector and local community to deliver person‑centred care plans.
- Lead and chair meetings with families and support networks.
- Maintain statutory records and progress reports in accordance with the Care Act.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Broad understanding of statutory responsibilities and commitment to meet them person‑centred.
- Experience of chairing meetings and developing strong relationships with partner agencies.
- Driving licence and ability to meet mobility requirements of the role.
