Temporary post for one year from start. Required to start as soon as possible. The Woodlands are seeking to recruit an Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an effective secretarial, administrative and clerical support service to facilitate the EHN Team in managing and delivering high-quality support for students with special educational needs, ensuring compliance with school policies and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial, administrative and clerical support to the EHN Team to aid delivery of high-quality support for students with special educational needs.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and customers, providing accurate information in written and verbal form.
- Support the team by using a range of software packages to produce letters, spreadsheets and other documents.
- Work across The Woodlands sites; initial base is Sacriston, with responsibilities across multiple sites as required.
Person Specification / Qualifications
- Computer literate with the ability to use a variety of software packages to produce letters, spreadsheets, etc.
- Experience of working in a team.
- Experience of working in an office environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English (essential for the post).
The Woodlands is based across a number of sites in the county; the post holder will be required to work across The Woodlands site. The post is based in Sacriston initially.

Term Time & Leave
Standard term time only pay is calculated on the following: 38 teaching weeks plus 1.6 weeks of public holidays plus 5.4 or 6.4 weeks of annual leave depending on service length.
