The Waste and Street Scene department requires enthusiastic and committed mobile street cleansing operative to join our hardworking and enthusiastic team.
We are currently looking for aMobile Cleansing Operativeto join our Northallerton team.
Our staff undertake duties across a range of urban and rural locations.
The Role
All applicants must have a valid, in date driving licence. Duties will involve driving a 3.5-ton vehicle, litter picking, the collection of litter and dog bins and any other duties commensurate with the role.
We aim to provide the best possible service to our residents; therefore, it will be necessary to have a good understanding of the importance of a high level of customer care. You will be required to undertake heavy workloads, with the ability to operate with the minimum of supervision either independently or as a member of a team and be able to work on your own initiative.
A full uniform will be provided. We can offer you a standard working pattern of 6.15am to 4.15pm over a 4-day working week, including weekends on a rota basis. However, we do ask that you have a flexible approach to working hours with occasional out of hours work when required optional overtime is available on a regular basis.
