The City of Doncaster Council is a confident, ambitious organisation which puts improving the life of its residents at the centre of everything we do. You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of a Senior Legal Officer focussing on housing disrepair, alongside housing possession and injunction work.

Duties include:

  • Delivery of high quality legal support, advice and advocacy in relation to housing litigation work, mainly focusing on housing disrepair civil claims.
  • The role will also include possession and housing injunction work and other work carried out by the Litigation team.
  • Support the Head of Service and the Team Manager on complex legal matters.
  • Work with and support St Leger Homes of Doncaster, the Arms Length Management Organisation that manages our council house stock.

As a Qualified and admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court or called as a Barrister or is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (and are authorised to conduct litigation) and holding a current practising certificate, you will work with other dedicated legal professionals to provide quality legal services to the Council and for St Leger Homes of Doncaster.
